January 2024, three in the morning. A man in Czechia sits on his couch with a glass in his hand, watching the Buffalo Bills, when a commentator tells the story of safety Jordan Poyer, who said out loud the one word this man had never said about himself.
Half a year later he walks out of rehab. The next summer he walks eight hundred kilometers across Spain in slippers. Then he gets on a blue 2011 Vespa named Adina and rides ten thousand miles, through Russia, Korea, Japan and across America, to shake one man's hand.
This is a book about the people who helped him on the way. It was written one day at a time, the way the road was ridden and the way sobriety is lived. Its last chapter had not happened yet when the first one was published.
Ludva Lou Klatovsky is a Czech writer, a retired cook and a Buffalo Bills fan. Every dollar from this book builds MIIN, an app for men who want to drink less.
One quiet bell at 7 in the morning, New York time, when the next chapter opens. Nothing else, ever.
The road so far
You can. But you do not have to. The book will not run away.
Not yet.

Put the book on your home screen
It is worth the minute. From your home screen the book opens like a real e-reader: full screen, no address bar, pages you turn with a finger, and always on the page where you stopped. It even works without signal.

Still not there? Ask someone younger. A grandkid, a neighbor, anyone with a phone in their pocket. It takes them ten seconds. I ask too. Lou
